Social Dispensary
A social dispensary of Osteopathy has been open in Brussels since 1981.
The main concern of the pioneers of osteopathy in Belgium was to offer to people lacking financial resources cares and treatment that they could otherwise not afford and to do so in a place located in their own environment.
In 1995, a non-profit organisation "Les Dispensaires Sociaux d’Ostéopathie, asbl" was created in order to encourage that process.
Consulting hours were exclusively planned for children and babies.
This non-profit organisation was dissolved at the end of 1999 and the social dispensary was managed again by the SBO-BVO.
