Treatment in osteopathy
The main purpose of the osteopathic treatment is to alleviate pain by restoring mobility and better physiological functions. The practitioner uses a whole range of manipulative techniques including the actual manipulations but also joint mobilisation techniques, "soft tissues" techniques, muscle energy techniques, etc. All these techniques are soft, non-aggressive and not traumatizing.
This restoration of mobility will engage self-regulating mechanisms. They will help the organism to recover its equilibrium, encourage its capacity of self-defense and favour a regain of health. |
